We envision a world where every underrepresented youth has the opportunity to create, narrate, and participate in diverse media, enriching the content landscape.
Our vision is one of inclusivity and diversity. We strive for a world where underrepresented voices are heard, where the stories of these youths are celebrated, and where the media landscape is a true reflection of our society's richness.
P3 Media's mission is to equip underprivileged youths with filmmaking skills and the ability to represent their communities accurately and positively in various media platforms.
At P3 Media, our mission is not just a statement but a promise to uplift the voices of underprivileged youths. We believe that filmmaking is a powerful tool for self-expression and community representation, and we are dedicated to providing these young individuals with the means to tell their stories.
At P3 Media, we believe in setting ambitious yet achievable goals that reflect our commitment to empowering underprivileged youths through filmmaking. Each of our goals is not just a target but a promise to the young individuals we serve and the community we aim to impact.
Goal 1: Provide Filmmaking Education to 500 Underprivileged Youths Annually This goal is at the core of our mission. We are determined to provide a nurturing environment where 500 underprivileged youths, aged 12 to 18, can explore their creativity, learn the art of filmmaking, and develop the skills necessary to share their stories with the world. By offering structured educational programs, workshops, and hands-on experience, we aim to empower them to dream big and turn their aspirations into reality.
Goal 2: Assist 25% of Our Students in Securing Scholarships for Film Studies Education is a gateway to opportunity, and we are committed to helping our students step through that gateway. By setting a specific target of assisting 25% of our students in securing scholarships for film studies, we are not only providing access to higher education but also unlocking the potential for these young individuals to excel in the filmmaking industry. Scholarships open doors, break financial barriers, and turn dreams into achievable goals. Page 6 of 10
Goal 3: Produce and Distribute 10 Short Films per Year Showcasing Underrepresented Stories Films have the power to inspire, educate, and ignite change. Through our annual goal of producing and distributing 10 short films, we are not only providing a platform for underprivileged youths to share their unique narratives but also amplifying their voices in the wider media landscape, and add to their portfolio. These films will celebrate diversity, challenge stereotypes, and contribute to a more inclusive and empathetic society.
Goal 4: Partner with Media Outlets to Provide Opportunities for Student Narrators Partnerships are the lifeblood of our mission. By establishing collaborations with media outlets, we aim to create valuable opportunities for our student narrators to gain real-world experience, exposure, and recognition. These partnerships will offer our students a chance to see their stories on bigger screens, connect with industry professionals, and ultimately become valued contributors to the media landscape.
As we work towards achieving these goals, we remain dedicated to the values of mentorship, education, and empowerment. Each success we achieve is not just a milestone for P3 Media but a life-changing moment for the young individuals we serve. Together, we are building a brighter future where everyone's story is heard and celebrated.
Pre-production is the first part of making a movie or TV show. It's when all the planning and preparation happens before the actual filming begins. If you were going to bake cookies, pre-production is like deciding on the cookie type, gathering ingredients, and setting up your kitchen. In moviemaking, it's when people decide what the story will be about, who will be in it, and how everything will look. So, pre-production is about organizing everything before filming starts.
Production is the stage where all the plans made in pre-production are put into action. It's the time when things are actually being filmed or recorded. Like baking cookies, during production, it's time to actually mix the ingredients, put the cookies in the oven, and watch them bake. Now, in production, it's when the cameras are on, recording the actors in their roles, and creating the actual scenes that will be part of the finished video. It's the exciting part where everything we talked about in the planning stage (pre-production) is happening for real, and we capture it on camera. That's production!
Post-production is the stage that comes after filming or recording. During this stage, all the footage that was captured in production is edited. Like baking cookies, the production steps are like adding the finishing touches to make the cookies even more delicious. This might involve decorating the cookies with icing, adding sprinkles, or arranging them nicely on a plate. Similarly, in post-production for a movie or video, editors work on adding special effects, adjusting colors, putting in music, and making sure everything looks polished before presenting the final product to the audience. So, just as post-production enhances the cookies' appearance and taste, it enhances the overall quality of a film or video.
